Can PRP Injections Help a Torn Meniscus? #shorts

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection therapy might offer temporary help for a torn meniscus. Platelets are separated from your own blood then injected back into your knee. Platelets have healing properties in them, so they might help to speed up healing. But PRP injections cannot fix the underlying root muscle imbalance that is causing too much compression in the knee joint. This must be addressed to get long-term relief from a torn meniscus.

Yes it can! I had a few PRP sessions with regular Physio treatment. It all healed my medial meniscus tear and confirmed via MRI

Thank you for your tips about stopping the quads exercises and focusing on the glutes and feet. Also your tips about how to walk in a way that takes pressure off the knee are so helpful. Thank you for all your great advice Dr. David :)

Would a physiotherapist be able to detect muscle imbalance? I’m not completely sure what that means and if I have one.

I have a small horizontal medial tear in white red zone. I've followed your advice and focused on glutes, core and lower abdomen, moving away from quads/hamstrings. How do you know where your imbalance is however? And is it worth my combining my rehab workouts with PRP ?

I had knee pain 6 months back. So, I went to orthopedist. He suggested to go for PRP... After 1st PRP I felt little better but the pain keeps coming back... Then 2 months Back he told me to put 2nd PRP, After the 2nd PRP my knee pain gotten worst only. After 2nd PRP only we had taken MRI Scan, It seems Grade 2 Medial Meniscus tear... Your videos are giving me great insight, Thank you!

So surgery is inevitable because the injections make it worse?
