Soil salinization is the process of salt building up in soil over time. Water evaporates, and salt is left behind in the soil. One solution would be to use drip irrigation, which reduces the amount of water used, and therefore the amount of salt being left behind in the soil. A disadvantage is that drip irrigation is very expensive, and not the best option for crops like corn and wheat,
