I'm growing it too. I use both ginger and turmeric in my business so this was inspiring to see that you are putting it all over the place and still having success with it. Thanks for info!

FAM. I've tried to grow ginger.. No success at all. My granddaughter gave me a piece of hers.. I watched Lady Lead, and she was using a brown bag method. It was to late, as I already had planted the ginger. I'm trying several things experimental, in this huge pot. I already had stratified garlic in the pots edge.. Then I plopped the piece of ginger in the middle.. Nothing at all for a month. Then, low and behold life. Its really beautiful. Now, I haven't a clue when to harvest it. She's started a gardening class.. A gardening class, at 15 years old. But, she's been gardening alone since 9 . Your little sidekick reminds me of her, when I would be in the garden. She's teaching me a few things today. I guess, I'll be another gardening demonstration for her.. I won't mind at all!! I'm just a proud Granny. Lol. Now, I've got to get some tumeric. Much Respect. Peace always.

Thank you! 💖 This was very helpful. Love watching you and your family. I live in Georgia now, but I’m originally from Louisiana. It’s the perfect climate for ginger.

I love how the ginger leaves smell so nice. I grew some last year. You've motivated me to do it again and do the turmeric. Thanks

I’ve read that you can just cut a piece of ginger right out of the ground to use for dinner etc and the rest of the ginger will just keep on growing.

Ginger and Tumeric have been on my list of new crops to plant. I use them all time. About how long does it take for you to harvest from the time you plant in ground?

Brilliant, I have been trying to grow these three all summer with very limited success.
I did exactly what you said, i forgot where I planted it and ended up digging stuff up on accident.
THANKS!

My greatest memories as a child were living on my grandparents dairy farm and picking peanuts, okra, corn, milking the cows and pulling eggs from the chickens! When the frost came I can remember the nights my grandpa and I would sit out smoking smudge pots to keep our grapefruit and orange trees from freezing. He would pay me $.50 an hour to help him and that was the most amazing gift ever for a child! I could go on and on and when my parents would come home from whatever army tour they were on and take us to my other grandparents in upstate New York we were heartbroken!!!
