DASH Mini Lecture: Natural Language Processing

We are pleased to present a new DASH Mini Lecture in which we will take a closer look at Natural Language Processing (NLP).

The video is presented by Vlad Iftime, Artificial Intelligence Master's student at the University of Groningen.

NLP is considered the sub-field of Artificial Intelligence that focuses on the understanding and generation of human language. In this video Vlad tells you more about what it is, its history and why we need NLP. He elaborates on the components and processes, the state of the art, followed by a conclusion and the future of NLP.

DASH is the Data Science Center in Health of the UMCG: a knowledge hub, community and facilitator in the area of health data science. DASH aims to advance data science in health by supporting innovative research projects and by bringing experts in data science, ehealth and artificial intelligence together.
