Finally, referees announcing decisions! Now we can all hear the reasons behind those calls instead of just yelling at the TV. 😂 Can't wait to see how this changes the game dynamics

Stopping all the silly international friendlies would be great.

No winter break. Of course the teams are going to then send their players for an end of season tour in Australia.

1. Refs announcing reason for VAR decision To public
2. Earlier release for lineups
3. Semi-auto offside technology
4. No winter break for players
5.? What’s the fifth rule?

The no winter break one is nothing new. Up until the introduction of the winter break a few years ago, the season always started on the 3rd weekend of August. It’s just going back to how it was previous was a few a years ago.

15 minutes earlier? Yeah, because that’s one thing that needed priority 😂

This ‘technical’ offside stuff complicates the rule, why not simplify it by allowing the attacker onside with any part of his body behind the last defender
in other words he’s only offside if there is a clear gap between the attacker and the last defender. This would allow better scoring opportunities and more open play. Also make the league cup for teams outside the Premier league, the Premier league suffers from ‘fixture overload’.
Irrespective of how much the players are paid they’re not robots, fatigue affects everyone mentally and physically.

My only problem is the definition of offside I still think having a big toe and the kneecap or fingertips offside is wrong, there should be a wider margin

so glad the upgraded offside is coming in. it worked so well at the Euro's i barely even noticed it, which is what you want. No more 20pt lines being drawn on the screen using microsoft paint.

Why do we want referee to explain decisions at the same time as we are complaining about VAR decisions taking to long

Offsides: I thought we were getting a change on the rule itself, when it is offside. I may be wrong but I thought I read somewhere offsides would be call now only if the player is fully ahead of the last defender.
Winter break: that is nuts. Players need a rest. Having that week in summer will just give teams a chance to start practices earlier. We will see many more injuries for sure.

Ref announcements will just aggravate the crowd even more. Ending the winter break is crazy, it took years to get one now it is gone.

And still, Michael Oliver will give a 95th minute pen to Man City and refuse to reason with Stamford Bridge😭

the seasons started earlier over the last 2 seasons to catch up with the back log of covid and having to play international games for both the world cup and this
years euros.

The big change that is needed is some sort of substantial penalty for the fouls that occur when the offensive team is about tp break toward the goal. The “take one first the team” yellow is not enough. Maybe an automatic free kick closer to the goal. I want to see offense. The NFL in the U.S. understands this and has made a number of rules changes to increase offense.

Thanks a million for giving us the example of the 75 minute vs 60 minute team line up change. I don’t think I’d have been able to work out the difference between 11am and 10:45am for myself.

scrapping winter break is bad idea... this period is good for people trying to recover from injury, burnout etc

They need rules that prohibit extending contracts for players like Luke Shaw and Phil Jones.
