I made my own little wire stripper & it works absolutely perfect for wires of all shapes and sizes. People are amazed by how easily and quickly I can strip wire. Although I am hoping one day someone invents a wire stripper that requires no sorting or unrolling where you can just throw it all in at once, come back later to everything clean, sorted by size & wrapped in neat little bundles. Sorta like a washing machine combined with a coin sorter, hahaha!! 😂🤣😂

2 by 4 and a screw works the best and is the fastest way to make a stripper. Tbh honestly I use a old kitchen knife to clean 99% of my wire and I can strip faster than any drill powered machine. Fyi the potato peeler will only work on the smaller insulation.

You should put the blade on an angle and use you hand to put pressure on it to cut threw the rubber

If you just mash the wire it works great! Think 2 steel rollers like a pasta maker or an old ringer washer! Screw getting the blade just right! Been there done that!

I have done wire stripping so many ways and if your doing casting at home its worth some effort but on a scale of earning coin for scrap its not worth it unless you are doing very large amounts. I get say $4kg for wire but only $10 for pure copper but tell you know takes more than $6 in time to get a KG of copper.
Now i have seen this that wire stripper is in my thoughts but i have a lathe so could just make it and when i use wood i use screws with sharpened ends and it works fine
To the dude that wants it all done, those machines do exist but cost a lot and most are propriety tech so you will never see them

Thats way better then my suggestion to throw it all in a fire pit and melt away the plastic...that does more harm then help FYI !!!
