Breaking Points is my favourite news show. I’m a Brit and I love hearing their coverage on US politics and on global events. But I feel pretty confused and a little pissed off just how stark and noticeable the difference in tone and research is from all the hosts when commentating on UK stories. Southampton, really? Completely different place. And even when their facts are correct it feels like they are confused, slower, like they are trying to decipher a code. And I watch plenty of UK shows covering US politics where the hosts are completely fluent in the ongoings of the country (and of every other country that’s not theirs that they cover). As I said, BP is my fave online news show and I love America but Jesus Christ guys, sometimes it’s really annoying seeing how people over there are comparatively so unaware of the rest of the world, in a way that the rest of the world is not.
