If y'all used the air link before using the link cable. Make sure you disable the air link option before using the link cable otherwise you can't use your link cable.

Anyone new to VR like me, beware of third party cables! My third party cable didn’t come with a velcro or clip, so the weight of the cable wrecked my USB C port on my headset! Currently awaiting support to get it fixed and also finally ordered the OFFICIAL Oculus Link Cable.

Nice Video! We have 3rd party cables for our quests and they work just fine. If you dont have a usb c port for your PC, if you have at least a USB 3.0 to usb c, you SHOULD be fine.

You can slide the velcro strap back to support the cable and keep it away from the front of your body.

You can use a USB C to USB A and as a side note USB 3.0 has nothing to do with the connector on the end, there are USB 2.0 USB C cables.

So when using the link cable is the quest running off the computers gpu graphics or still using the internal cpu on the quest? Basically are the graphics and gameplay better with the link cable?

Appreciate the video but it wasn’t working out for us so we finally figured out that we had to download the Oculus PC software in order for it to work. Wish you would have mentioned download the software in the beginning.

I’m switching from Airlink and virtual desktop to the cable, but nothing happens when I plug in. I get the prompt in the Quest asking if I’ll allow access, but after that, nothing. Is there something I need to activate? I’ve already disabled Airlink in the Quest. Anywhere else I’m suppose to do it?
