4 Things I HATE About the Oculus Quest 2! The Oculus Quest 2 is a great VR Headset for the price! But there are a few things on the Oculus Quest 2 that do annoying me! Such as Oculus Quest Link and the forced Facebook Integration, which made me lose my Oculus Account from my Oculus CV1!

As for Facebook integration they are making standalone meta accounts so if you don't have a Facebook ( like me and most kids who don't don't a social media acc) or don't wanna link your FB you can make a meta acc which is separated from FB

They increased the price, but they also removed the mandatory Facebook linking.

Never had any issues with link, except when connecting to the actual oculus software itself

I use virtual desktop with my pc plugged in to Ethernet and my quest 2 connected to 5G. It works wonderfully

I recommend to everyone who gets a quest to get a different headset, whether it has a battery or not. My neck pain went down significantly when I got one

If you have trouble with the headset strap, you can buy an extension that uses a kind of cog wheel-type that you can increase or decrease. I hope this information was important!

Just buy a 3rd party headstrap I recommend buying the BOBOVR M2 plus its very comfortable

Here's the list of things that are fixed. (I guess?)

1. Link Cables are usually used for SteamVR But you can actually play SteamVR games without SteamVR, just uninstall it!

2. The Headstrap is actually easy to adjust once you know how to, but it's still kinda uncomfortable but you'll get used to it.

3. The Facebook integration is now gone, so banned or hacked. It's not a big deal anymore.

4. The Reason why they're increasing the price is actually quite simple.
They're still selling ALOT of Quest 2's and they're still being sold to this day. (I even got one 3 months ago and it is still insane. I was lucky enough to not buy it when the 100$ price increase came) but they're increasing the price just so they get more profit from selling, which kinda worked.

Pro tip: you no longer need a facebook account for it
And you complain its too expensive when its an absolute bargain compared to the rest of the industry.

I'm glad that most of these issues are easily resolved, Issue one is solved by either air link or virtual desktop, I suggest virtual desktop because it has way less latency than air link and performs better, issue 2 is solved by buying one of the many pro straps and some are insanely cheap in terms of quality, Meta already solved issue 3 by not making Facebook link mandatory. Last issue. I believe the price upgrade isn't that drastic at all and Meta said the only reason why they're doing this is to increase quality and production on future headsets, 100 extra dollars isn't gonna kill you

for me its the software. for one there is infinite guardian draw noise even out of the menu and in games.

The Facebook accounts are gone now and most people know when buying that the headstrap will need replacing, still a pain but you can get a battery pack headstrap.
