Decades ago, I came upon a copy of Peter Pan at the public library. It had a preface written by JM Barrie himself. It was either tongue-in-cheek or highly disturbing (he mentioned not remembering writing it but making up to find the manuscript on his bedside table). Regardless, it was enlightening. It talked about the addition of adding pixie dust to make children fly, as children in London were jumping out windows thinking happy thoughts and hitting the ground hard. To the point, it mentions that, as a child, he and his friends didn't play as Peter and the Lost Boys. They were the pirates and tried to capture Peter. I understood this to mean that children wishing to be grown up is normal and healthy. Adults wishing to return to their childhood are unsuccessful adults, chasing an illusion...just as Peter chases his own shadow. Also, taking into consideration Peter's surname is 'Pan', after the Greek god. Pan was a god of wilderness, creating chaos and mischief. The Lost Boys vampire version of Peter Pan took this to a lethal level. Still, Peter was never the hero.

My great great Aunt was friends with Walt & worked for him In Disneyland for many years when she passed away i was given many items that were given to or purchased by walt for her. Mostly dolls from the shop she worked in.
