You missed the AR is a straight mag insert whereas the AK is a rock-and-lock mag insert...

Im not the biggest fan of the ar15, however the fire selector and the mag changes are the quickest and smoothest on the market

Besides the stamped receiver vs aluminium, the piston vs DI gas systems, the biggest difference is that an AK can always be made to fire in full auto, with no additional parts. The AR needs a receiver that can accomodate a sear, while the AK triggers all have the capability of being made to fire in fully automatic, by removing the hammer disconnect. So yes, every AK, at least original AKs, can be reverted to fully automatic rifles with just a metal file or small grinder.

I mean it is a 7.62x39mm rifle but that's an AKM, modernized variant of the AK-47. The muzzle as that weird arch which gives it away. It's just an upgraded version but still a different gun.
