Red-faced police swooped on a home following reports of a ‘screaming woman’ - - only to find it was the owner’s chirping parrot.

Officers in three cop cars had flown over to Steve Wood’s property before realising the sounds were coming from his yellow-naped Amazon parrot, Freddie.

Essex Police said they had been alerted to a possible incident at 1.50pm on July 4 (Tue) involving a woman shouting for help by a “concerned neighbour”.

I dunno what I like more, the fact everyone is so happy and saw it for the funny side it has or the neighbour actually reporting it in the first place and it being taken super seriously by everyone.

Such a strange world we live in that even reporting what is a suspected crime is actually something to be cheerful about and not the norm.
