I've given over 2000 rides in the last year, here are my personal tips:

I prefer Uber, but will switch to Lyft if they offer guaranteed payouts for completing a certain number of rides. On busy nights with high-paying surges, go offline between rides and drive to the location with the largest surge before going back online. Instead of lowering your acceptance rate, raise your cancellation rate. If you dip below an 85% acceptance rate, you won't be able to see the length of trips, but with a higher cancellation rate, you still can. Keep puke bags on hand during bar-hopping hours so you can continue driving even if a passenger needs to vomit. If a passenger asks to go to a location that's not part of their trip, like a Taco Bell or gas station, don't do it unless they offer extra money. You make 11 cents per minute to wait, so waiting for something like that can hurt your hourly pay. To save money on gas, try filling up with Unleaded 88, which is a higher octane fuel. You get less gas mileage, but you'll save money overall for the stop and go nature of driving for Uber. Best of luck to you all!

Appreciate the great info sir! My only concern is with the Wal Mart pickups is that you don’t know if it’s an employee getting off work or a shopper with buggy full of bags. I get half and half for the most part.

Any rides that is 10 minutes or less, Uber should only allow 1 minute wait time, as in, the passenger should already be ready to get in the car when you get there. 11 to 19 minutes should be 3 minutes. 20 minutes to 29 or more, I am willing to wait at least 5 to 10 extra minutes. 10 max minutes for any rides above 30 minutes.

Its funny every YouTube says the same thing abt weekdays but it's false.. best time is when school is getting out in your area.. here 1-4pm. I get tons of rides around the high schools.. bringing kids home, to and from practice.. and these kids are good with tech.. they will meet you on the sidewalk just off the main road so you avoid the school traffic for the most part. Surges like crazy cuz a lot of Ubers won't take kids.

I hand wash my car and do all my own detailing to save money. Also a better option than magnetic mount can be VELCRO! Stick a furry Velcro strip on the back of your phone case and a pointy Velcro strip somewhere on your dash. Yes, this might leave a sticky residue on your dash but can be removed with Goo Gone but you probably won't be removing it because you will realize how awesome Velcro is! Also I found the magnetism in the magnetic mounts wears out pretty quickly and they are much more pricey than Velcro.

I would believe what you’re saying about the infrastructure for the electric cars is to pour, and top of that to fill the batteries or recharge the batteries it’s more expensive than gas. I don’t know if you know that I, I could potentially see it in the future, but not in the near one, and top of that we got a think about there’s always people making new technology like Toyota with their new engine. That could be the end of electricity will see what happen.

I comment this in every video about rideshare apps: every foking body out there has to announce EMPOWER Rideshare App!!! That is the best app out there! Drivers pay a subscription fee per month and keep 100% of the fares!!! If passengers knew EMPOWER like they know uber and lyft, uber and lyft would go bankrupt!!! With EMPOWER drivers also set their own rates and surges!!!
