Thank you for showing the Delano motel. Mom and I stayed in the same unit 3 times we stayed there going to Vegas to visit my brother and back to Denver. Happy memories. I'm glad it is still open.

Beaver is home to my paternal grandparents. Love that city. Lot's of history in that city for my family.

Seeing a small quaint town in Utah, brings back many memories of great interest. My late wife and I enjoyed spending time stopping and passing through them. Marty & Sally, Thank you for enlightening us with your knowledge & information and sharing small town America with us! ^5 Bob

My mom is from Beaver. Her childhood home still stands on the north end of town. And Wisconsin natives have another competition with that little town: "Cache Valley Cheese", which is huge throughout the Western United States, is headquartered in lowly unassuming Beaver Utah.

I just watched this video, right after I finished the one you guys did in Milford. Both videos are excellent as usual. This is indeed an epic tour of the southwest! Thank you both for making and sharing them. ❤️👍

Classic Sightseeing Sally! I have been a little deprived lately with work and moving but I had to catch up with you tonight. You always make the most ordinary places interesting with your amazing attention to detail. Now I have a taste for mint chocolate chip!

Love that the mountains still have snow. Beaver City: what a name for a town in middle of cattle country! Sleepy lagoon motel is an interesting name. Nice brick home! Glad you are still wearing your fabulous sun glasses!! America's best water is really good I 👀! Ranger Station always a good source of information! Shopko all seem to be closing. Don't have those in California. Love old log cabins. Beaver State Tabernacle? Aww the public library. Always fun to visit small town libraries. Wow, last Carnegie library. Historic court house are cool. Historic opera house is nice. An old barber pole is cool. 😊 I see you have your security person- Marty😊. Pretty cool glow in the dark store. Yum a Creamery Parlor. I grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, mind you this was the 70s and 80s, but my Dad never let his cows sit in the stantions all dang day. Only when it was time for milking, or if they needed vet care. From what I've seen in my lifetime, my Dad and the surrounding farmers (of that time) were pretty humane, compared to todays standards and some other farms I've seen in other parts of the state. And I had a curfew too! Except it was suppertime, I had to help make it and get my household chores done, lol.

NOW you are near where I'm from! Signs from here used to make the back pages of National Lampoon Magazine a lot back in the day (for obvious reasons). And yes, I'm old. Get off my lawn!

Many towns in Utah and Idaho (and some in Nevada like Las Vegas) were settled by folks in the LDS church. The church made it a point to send groups to various locations to set up towns. A lot of towns are X townships up, and Y townships over from Temple Square in Salt Lake. It was an important and generally effective program that settled much of the region. Some towns prospered, some failed, some only established themselves after multiple attempts. Some good trout fishing near there.

Parowan is pronounced Pair -a-wahn by locals btw.
