These videos actually remind me of something I learned in my structural engineering class.
The elevator and stair shafts are some of the first structural parts made in the building bc they are actually kind of built as "stilts" (in a sense) to keep a building up and the minimum (and I mean the lowest) amount of time the stairway and elevator ways have fire and damage resistance is 30 minutes, mist are usually 5 hours though (also, if an elevator is falling lay on your back)
