"Making it fun" is such an underrated tip. Having fun makes the time pass so much faster, and your brain just learns so much faster and deeper when it actually feels interested

Amazing video. I find your videos really inspiring during my job search. I also find the tip regarding waking up early results to more energy to get work done. I started waking early for my prayer at 5am and I notice that on days when I wake up early vs the days I don't I am more productive when I wake up early.

The timing of this video is crazy after just getting a callback for a technical interview yesterday and now while brushing up / preparing for it tomorrow you drop something on this topic. Haven't watched all your videos but the ones I have so far have been super insightful, especially for someone just transitioning into the field so I appreciate having your channel to look towards when I need some inspiration during this rough time in the tech job market!

hey man, been watching you since high school and have recently entered uni. Been a bit discouraged with the amount of work it takes to start a career in any area, be it business/enginerring or coding. When I'm mentally down though, I try to think back to your experience of applying for thousands of jobs, just to remind myself that it's all apart of the process.

I think you filled a missing point in all dev learning path or certifications. When you get a diploma or certification, the time after is very stressful. We might say that when you're looking for jobs it would certainly take a while, so the habit of learning during this time is a great choice. And the "never rely on motivation" is so true. A lot of developers say "I'm passionate" but the passion or motivation is not always a nice companion. I understood this year why "consistency" is far better. May be you could point some resources about "how to learn", the efficient way. Great content!

How do you even crank through multiple hard leetcode questions in a day? I can't even do 1.

6:08 "Don't be a night owl"
I try to be up during the day, in fact I have a clock set to wake me up every day at 8am and usually I also get up at that time or shortly after but at the same time there is a lot of noise during the day. My mother can be quite noisy, not to mention the absolute noise pollution from the neighours and unfortunately I missed my chance to get out of here years ago. All this noise is making it next to impossible for me to concentrate on something for as much as maybe even just 30min. I tried listening to music but that does not always help as it can be a bit distracting for me also. The night time is the only time I can enjoy silence but since i set up this sleep schedule it gets hard for me to stay up too long and honestly I would very much prefer being awake during the day. Any solutions would be much appreciated.
