In 1982, I took a weekend study course with an Ivy League graduate teaching study skills. It changed my trajectory. He taught all of these skills. Flash forward 15yrs. I’m teaching math to special education 8th grade students. By applying these skills I was able to help them learn the concepts and get As and Bs on quizzes and tests, increasing their confidence and seeing them do homework because they got it in class. (No home help) How many times do we criticize students because they have no help at home and don’t have a one on one to walk them through learning the new concept. Even disruptive students focused when they realized they could be successful.

Thank you for the great summary - informative and concise! I've watched a few and by far this was the best. However I must concurr with the rest of the comments: the background music is mighty distracting. Anyways, thanks!

Algorithm algorithm algorithm algorithm algorithm algorithm algorithm algorithm. I'm a college dropout. I think two things I had wrong was a vaccine reaction towards concentration and good study habits skills. Don't know why I couldn't get focus reading textbooks.
