I’ve build hundreds of apps, these tools can never match proper ux best practices, it’s not just about turning a row of items into columns, ux rarely works that way in its ui implementation . But I do appreciate the effort

Love this tool, I am a backend developer and was honestly tired of frontend dev & ui/ux designers not being able to complete stuff on deadline, I gave this tool a try and I can easily make simple designs and also get a high level code for it.

I've always been really skeptical of Figma -> Code tools, but this one seems pretty well done. There are still 2 big hurdles I can see though...

1) It requires an EXQUISITE Figma file (even in this tutorial file there are several auto layout mistakes that will eventually show up in edge cases). It's simple enough to maintain a basic tutorial file with a handful of components, but once you're rapidly iterating over an enterprise application, keeping that level of detail across all your elements in a design project can be a lot of work (unless you work for a MegaCorp with a dedicated design system designer or something).

2) The code Figma spits out is still pretty wonky, especially when it comes to CSS. I wonder how much time you save proofreading these components vs making them from scratch.

Regardless, super neat tool and the AI component means there's still a ton of potential.

So, lets be honest now its been 1-2 years that AI is on hype and so many tech are coming, and with this short amount of time we have a tool like this that can do the whole process, will there be a need for Web Developers in 5 years?

the result in figma and the locofy preview was clearly different, but you either didn't notice or kinda played it off. Maybe that's why there was a cut there. Did you try to figure out why the component container extended all the way to the edges in the locofy preview while inside of figma it was constrained to the parent container width? That's not a very good sign for me, tbh when I start seeing stuff like that just glossed over.

Okay I am seriosuly excited to try this out as someone who is relatively beginner to web dev.

this might be one of the better Figma to Code tools

This is the only one that can really convince me. I'll be watching it going forward

I trully belive that I will always start an application using this tool. Doing this I will have much time to thing about the rules of the projects (the backend part)

It seems good as a one time static site generator. I could not see any interaction capability. It sounds like you need to code that part yourself .
