Getting 2 last places in Eurovision is probably the best achievement you can ever get in life.

One of the best in the night, completely undeserved last place.

This is such a fun entry. Vocals aren't super strong, but what a fun, upbeat song!

Why last place?
It is so catchy.
It deserved Top 5 and it can easily be a winner.
My Top 5 for 1976
1 Greece
2 France
3 Israel
4 Norway
5 Monaco

Rumor has it that Brezhnev, in an effort to get CCCPTV to EBU, they proposed sending a song called Fallen Angel.

(Get it? Mata Hari and Fallen Angel?)

I was 11 years old, it was in Holland (even in my city - Den Haag) due to our glorious 1975 victory with "Ding-a-dong" and I remember this song and also remember that we liked it then, it's one of the few I can remember, others are: "Save your kisses" Brotherhood of man (winner - England), "Un, deux trois " - Catherine Ferry (France, I think second) and the not very remarkable Dutch entry: Sandra Reemer - "The party's over" (Sandra Reemer would participate four times and one time as background singer, best result in 1972 as a duo "Sandra and Andres" - Als het om de liefde gaat, 4th place.
And uh, last place for this song (allthough maybe outdated) is (especially compared with the rest) imho very undeservedly.
BTW The presentation was done by dutch singer "Corry Brokken" who took part twice one time ended last (shared with others) and one time first (first Dutch victory of five so far - should have been six but we were cancelled and as of yet is is not exactly clear why). She did the whole presentation alone (not from a teleprompter) and translated everything she said in French (and it seemed to me not from a card, certainly not from a teleprompter). It was also remarkable how much shorter the Eurovision song contest lasted at that time (although all the results - from 1 to 12 were read aloud in three languages (Dutch, English and French)

One of Norway's very well deserved last places. This one got 7 points too many in my books.
