Driving in Heavy Rain Sleep in the Backseat Soothing Thunderstorm Road Noise Rainy Highway Drive

Upon finding my original files I decided to re-do this recording with loud road noise, cars driving by, rain and thunder. I drove in a Mazda SUV and used a GoPro 9, Zoom H8 microphone and headrest mount.

Recorded natural sounds of driving in the rain for relaxation, meditation, homework, study, background ambiance and sleep. Rain sounds can be quite refreshing for your brain. It gives you that calm soothing feeling of relaxation and peace that makes you feel safe. I've been listening to rain since I was 16 yrs. old and always felt a connection to its sound. When it first starts from the smell rain exudes to the symphony of distant thunder it emanates. The sound of water droplets falling into puddles and white noise that sends positive vibes throughout my body. Pure relaxation at its finest with deep concentration of thoughts blooming throughout your mind. The raindrops reach out and tickle your soul with each splash that lands. I sleep to it, write to it, use for deep moments of mindful rest, and just as a background ambiance in my everyday life. Sleep well everyone.

At first I watched regular rain videos, but these are perfect

I clicked on this video and decided to watch for a few seconds cause I was curious if I could figure out where this was taken.
Then I instantly realized... I GREW UP HERE, I can't believe this random video I clicked on drives through the same area I lived for 10 years of my life. I've taken the exact routes shown in the beginning hundreds and hundreds of times growing up.

I still come back sometimes to visit my parents off of exit 176... so much has changed these past couple years. I actually cried a little opening this video and seeing that part of the highway. It's so hard to describe the feeling.

I've since moved out of my parents' house and still come back to visit, but for some reason this video and the rain took me on a journey through all those years as a teenager. All the memories of all those times I drove through shertz, cibolo, new braunfels.... dreaming of going to better places and doing bigger things in life. It's been a long road but the journey made me someone I can be proud of.
