I will definitely be getting the Freestyle Libre 3 when it comes out in the US. I run ultramarathons from 50K to 100 miles. Having the Freestyle Libre is amazing. It is a real game changer! I can test my BG while I'm running. Having it smaller and truly continuous will be even more amazing. I cannot wait. Thanks for the informative vid! PEACE!!

Can't wait for this to land in Canada!!!! Thank you very much. Sharing this amongst my group of T1D's here in Cornwall, Canada. Trying to educate them about great #vloggers like you @nerdabetic and other places on the Internet to educate themselves to stay in the good BG zone!!

my hubby has the libre 2, and will be happy with the 3 for sure. the size being so much smaller decreases the risk of "walk offs/snagg offs" too. Also, not having to scan anymore, makes it again, that much easier.

Yes they need to update the app. A app for watches is needed too.

Hi! Like UK, in Portugal we don't have yet the Freestyle Libre 2. This third generation will be a great update. We expect to have it available soon in the market. Mid 2021 will be positive if it arrives in all Europe.

Love your updates. Really looking forward to the FreeStyle 3. My insurance won't cover the Dexcom version.

You are so knowledgable and I look forward to your updates on diabetes tech. I’m so excited for Libre 3 to launch! I have just had my script updated for Libre 2 which is great and I’m sure it will help me a great deal with the alarms. Cannot wait for it all to be CGM!

Thank you, good update. I am in Australia, and we, like you still don't even have libre 2, although I have heard it is finally close to being released. So it will be quite a few years before we will see the free style libre 3.🙁

Great video and wonderful news! With MDI, Libre 14 day works fine for me. I’ve never had it fall off or develop skin rashes; it’s compact and always lasts 14 days as advertised. It’s also accurate enough for me to tell when you are high or low and I check with finger prick anyway when I’m way out of range. No idea when I will be able to switch to it but I hope I don’t have to wait too long. Also if I ever decide to go with a pump I’ll be ok with this.

That's Great news. Things are moving, with éléments we know, trust, and can afford. Adjustments and relashonship with ins-pumps will be the next stage.
Hope it wont take to much time.
Big step forward. Pat

Exciting news! I currently use libre 1 and a miaomiao, I love how small the libre 3 is. I wonder if they include a calibration function? Also the great thing about about miaomiao is the various phone apps and their ability to communicate with smartwatches. I'm hoping libre 3 will have this function

I'm a Dexcom G6 user, in big part covered by insurance, living in the US, and planning to move to Europe next year. I'm kind of anxious respect to what options I'll have for sensors there. Seeing that the offer of CGM expands, sizes and prices go down, it's definitely great news! Thanks a lot for your videos.

Ugh, another new meter to buy. I wonder what it will cost. The FSL1 meter is $70 here and $120 per sensor.

Now we will see how well it works for pediatric use. With highs and lows Dexcom G6 will only last max 7 days from what I have seen in our case. If it is better I will switch in a second.

Will Libre 3 provide direct connection to Apple watch just like BluCon has to Apple watch?

The US trial have been severely delayed. It still have not started to accept applicants, and the trial should have started in July...! It is already nearly 3 months delayed, and the trial might actually be dropped as FDA have not been as easily manipulated as most european countries have been with regard to Libre 2 being defined as a CGM. Actually Abbotts lawyers managed to get FDA to approve the Libre 2 as an ICGM, which is ridiculous. But when you look at the details, FDA actually created an entirely new class of ICGM devices that are "NOT" trusted for medical decision making... Not surprising as the Libre 2 still is just a FGM, but with optional Bluetooth alerts (only 3, and very lacking alerts as well - with regard to functionality).

Libre is the bargain price solution, and only scale of business is actually interesting to them...!
