26. Dont play or take a break if you are tired, hungry, or tilted.

Mute/Hide chat and voice is a beautiful thing.
Don’t let toxic people suck the energy from you and ruin your fun.
It’s not backing down, it is simply not wasting time listening to fools.

You have a great message and it's the community's fault for not properly applying it. Supports need to learn when to damage and when to heal; timing is everything on every role, even in life.

Awkward has by far the most educational OW content.

I’ve noticed tons of improvement in my gameplay. I’m still struggling ranking up, but I’m noticing my overall gameplay improving

I used to be gold/plat support for too long simply because I was pocketing the tank, I had tunnel visioning and my positioning was so bad I lost so many games and mad at my teamamtes. Then I learned more about the game and playing around cover, better positioning, using my ultimate as soon as i get it mid fight or before fight and I end up in Masters 3-1. Now... i struggle in masters but im 50/50 in my games. Which I believe I've climbed to the rank im stuck now and trying to improve from there.

Awkward's approach to the game has reinvigorated my play. My losses (and even my wins) are filled with teachable moments now instead of frustrations and checking my teams score. I am only focused on myself. I consistently have the least deaths on my team, yet I still lose a lot - so recently I've been asking myself if I'm taking enough risks or making a real difference despite good stats. That's a simple example but that's how I try to look at everything.

I've greatly improved my games on OW2 thanks to your videos. Thanks for all you do.

About "sitting on the payload/objective". I understand that you're saying to take initiative and not be basically a payload pushing robot. However if everyone adopts that mindset of "payload is lava" then the games will never end because nobody is pushing so nobody is winning. So sometimes "sitting on payload" is the thing that you have to do to win

Staying too much with my tank has been a blessing so far. Most bad matches that I had had 1 thing in common. Everyone being everywhere and doing weird shit.

" that's why there's players who have played for 6 years and haven't climbed "

I'm so glad to be featured in this video

I've noticed people often read Awkward's tips the wrong way. They interpret it as a technical truth; as something that can be expressed with numbers or spread sheets. But this is not his thinking style. Awkward is a pragmatist. His prescription has people in mind that want to improve at the game. And for them specifically, he speaks the truth. It's why I'm glad he expressed the counter picking thing again. He elaborates that it robs you of a valuable learning experience. Which is true.

the fact that you put counterpicking in this list is gonna be controversial as fuck, im loving it

6:08 anyone that complains about other players are the ones that are toxic, not doing their part, and can’t take any blame for their own lack of skill.

This should be required watching after unlocking comp. I'm not saying everyone needs to follow this advice (it's perfectly fine to play for fun with a playstyle you enjoy, even in comp). But I hate it if people think they know it all and try to bring others down if things don't go their way. Your message regarding that is great.

This video is golden bro, I think you're honestly one of the very few if not ONLY overwatch content creators that will be blunt and real with the community. 99% of the playerbase can't handle these truths and enjoy losing

Even if it’s similar videos, keep making videos. Your message and the straightforwardness is perfect. Wish more content was straight forward advice like this. Went from bronze/silver to diamond in 1 season, thank you man, after a break I’m gonna go for GM
