For newbie don’t use two destroyer at the back. It opens up the space for opposing team for easy through pass and only use deep lying forward when you are using two forwards cause they often don’t make run. They preferred to stay behind for back passes and create chance for the goal poacher.

I think the main essential thing you need is to play passively. Quick passes is good but slowing down your pace too and you don’t need stunning shot when you’re inside the box. It’s okay to use DT stunning shot but it seems konami nerf double touch when you received one touch pass.

And about through passing, just don’t spam through pass whenever you get the ball. Look for the players who are making run playstyle eg: attacking fullback, they often make run for creating chances. Main thing is don’t through pass your striker when you get the ball on your opponent half. Play short passes to your AMF. Look for the chance when the striker is sure to outrun their defense line cause it’s harder in higher division where opponents can easily read your moves.

Ive actually tried stopping doing the through balls cuz i noticed it gives the ball away too much but I still do it sometimes by accident

for through passes, the most important thing for me is to look at the player you’re going to through pass to, and make sure that there isn’t a player around that can intercept the pass. It sounds simple but if you’re losing possession due to through balls chances are you aren’t looking at the player you’re passing to. If you can’t see the player on your screen, use the radar in the middle of your screen to play long distance passes. Just make sure to manage your risk and reward with through passes. Hope this helps anyone who is new to the game or who wants to push to div 1
