For people that are just now watching this video, the side by side feature is already in Lightroom CC

Lightroom Classic has color calibration and Lightroom (cloud) does not. To me, not having color calibration is a HUGE shortcoming of Lightroom (cloud).

I work as a photographer for a large company, travel fairly often. I then bring my MacBook Pro, and back at the office I have an iMac. The iMac is much better to edit on bc of the screen size, but on the go I need my laptop, and since I also have the opportunity to work from home once or twice a week I need my laptop. That's why Lightroom (the cloud based one) is a better fit. I would like to use the original version, but I need to have the images available at all times.
I take photos with the intent of not having to edit too much, so the Lightroom (again, cloud based one) is enough I think.

So which one to choose is not only based on "taking family photos" or "just click, click here and there". After processing the photos I export them, and all the albums can be exported with raw(+settings) to a external hard drive and free up space. I haven't ran out of space yet!

Trying to help my daughter as a starting photographer. I just now learned any differences since it has been a while and my older imacs had lightroom...err...LRC. So I am used to a hard drive base. I really could not imagine being dependant on an internet connection. Anyway, thank you for easily explaining this.

Very helpful!! Thank you! Like you, I was using LrC never knowing there even was LrCC or Lr or LrCCC++CmobileCloud. This video helps because I just loaded what I thought was the Lightroom that I'm used to only to find it far too different, so it's back to LrC for me.

As a hobbyist photographer, I love editing on LR Mobile using the iPad. Plus, subscribing to ONLY the mobile LR through iTunes is cheaper. However, it does lack some features such as super resolution enhance tool. It would nice if Adobe brings all functions to all LR variations.

I can’t seem to find info on how exactly Lightroom Mobile Premium differs from the full version. Are there any big features missing? I have an iPad and would store the images on my PC SSD anyway, but Mobile is half the price of the full thing

I’m very new to LR. I have the mobile version and really like it but struggle with how to save them. I’m too cheap to pay for cloud lol so I store all my pics on external hard drives. I’m not even sure if my edits are coming over when I upload to my Mac and then store on an external. In would love the learn LR more. Is it easy to upload my mobile pictures to classic and then save. I’m not even sure what I’m really asking lol. is there a tutorial on workflow process.

only edit on my laptop. I only shoot raw. A typical shoot (classical concert) is about 60 to 100 pics. Best for me to choose lightroom classic?

Hello and thank you for the video. I have been using LR5 up to now. Just bought a new camera and now will have to go to a LR subscription plan so I can continue to edit RAW files. My question is, does the current LR cloud based, (what I call LR "light") support RAW files from camera, just as "clastic" does?
Thank you in advance for any answer on that.
