Firefox has many powerful addons that can do things that can't passed into Chrome Extension store, such as bypassing some restrictions or paywalls on websites(unless you did it via unofficial way). However, some addons are only available for Chrome, because the developers did not make them compatible with Firefox, or they did not see enough demand for them. This new feature will change the situation a lot, and it will have both positive and negative effects.

I just check this on my Firefox 119.0. This feature is there. Import from chrome already has the extensions option and checkmarked.
I'm going to try later.

Thanks. I have found most plugins I need for firefox. But I use opera gx sometimes and I had to install and use chrome extensions within it. They just work once you install them..

Import extensions don't really means you can install them directly from chrome store.
I don't have alot of browsers sitting on my computer to test this feature... I just need firefox
