Juneteenth is like a cousin you didn't know you had who appears on your doorstep one day with intentions to build a relationship with you. The moral of the story? Political movements are most often co-opted so be very skeptical no matter how benign they may seem.

I totally agree with you as a life Republican for over 30 years. I’ve always wondered why people made such a big deal over Juneteenth that was established by a Democrat. They were the ones who were the oppressors.🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

JUNETEENTH is on the wrong day. Celebrate what you want, but as veteran. I celebrate Veterans and Memorial day the same way. Doing what I can to help our community. I see this holiday not to bring people together, but to point you out for not supporting what they want in that moment.
