Prisoners in Northern Nevada are helping care for kittens

Its such a wonderful program every prison should have it. It helps the kittens become more used to people. But it is also a great way to reabilitate the inmates and get them ready for life outside prison.

Some people never grew up in a good home with loving parents. So, they probably never had someone love them. Animals love their humans unconditionally and they do not care if you're a convicted felon. For these men, the kittens maybe the first to show them how to love and care for another.

I used to work in a psychiatric facility with children and to be honest I wouldn’t have trusted them with animals. One kid actually killed cats and dogs. But these prisoners seem mature and caring. It’s weird how this world works
