Spam Musubi is one of our favorite things about Hawaii. It's salty, sweet, and perfect to enjoy as a snack or meal on the go. You can purchase the molds online (I have one linked below) or just use the spam can!

Musubi mold:

INGREDIENTS
-1 tin @hormelfoods spam
-4 cups cooked @kokuhorice short grained rice
-3 sheets of unseasoned nori
-Furikake seasoning

FOR THE SAUCE
-2 tbsp @kikkomanusa soy sauce
-2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
-2 tbsp sugar

1️⃣Cook rice according to package instructions
2️⃣Cut up plain nori sheets into 3 equal strips
3️⃣Slice 1 can of spam into eight pieces and cook on the pan until golden brown on both sides
4️⃣While spam is cooking, combine sauce ingredients into a small bowl and use a basting brush to coat generously on both sides (if you don't have a brush you can just drizzle the sauce over the meat. Try to use all the sauce). Take the spam slices off the heat once the sauce has caramelized and place onto a plate.
5️⃣Insert a sheet of saran wrap into your clean spam tin and begin assembling your musubi. Stack 1/4 cup of cooked rice, furikake seasoning, spam, and another 1/4 cup of cooked rice. Be sure to press down gently into the mold after each layer of rice.
6️⃣Pull out the layers using the saran wrap and lay over your nori sheet. Wrap the rice and spam mold with the nori and use some water to seal.
