This isn't the only time Dr. Doom has broken the 4th wall. In a Gwen Pool comic, her and Doom travel "Between the Pages" of that story. Dr. Doom even gets embarrassed when he sees a panel of his old obnoxious self.

I remember Stan saying something like Dr. Doom could declare that he will have world domination or whatever in front of a police officer and they could do nothing about it because it's not illegal and they'll probably just think he's crazy. I think it was from the Mutant Monsters and Marvels interview with Kevin Smith. I gotta watch that again sometime.

Cannonicly, Lee has all the powers of all the characters he created/helped to create, so even if he wanted to, Doom would not have been able to lift a finger at him 😂

Honestly i can clearly see dooms problem. He was a normal not evil despot who wanted power which was against the "good guys" who have a kill count which cannot be counted even by EVMs at this point.

Doctor Doom actually met Stan Lee much earlier than this, back In the earliest run of the fantastic four in the 1960's (I think it was the 60s but it could be extremely late 50s)

I mean Doctor Doom is hated in his world because the general public doesn’t know his story. We as the audience actually love Doom as a character because whether Doom is a villain is a bit up for debate. Doctor Doom believes he must conquer the world because that is the only future free of suffering and want and he’s kind of right. When Doctor Doom went to Wakanda to acquire vibranium, he laid himself before the judgement of Bas the Panther God. Bas looked into every possible future and the only future he found where Earth survives and Humanity prospers is the future where Doctor Doom rules. Bas determines that though Doom’s methods are vile and cruel, his intentions are noble and pure and allows him to take the vibranium.
