Thanks for the awesome video. Uni is starting again and it's mostly in person and not online anymore (finally). I completely forgot about Lenovo's Thinkpad laptops and was looking for something slim and good looking with at least a 500gb ssd and 16gb ram, which was pretty stupid tbh. I should've looked for something affordable that is also easy to carry around and not easily destructible.

My thinkpad X270 cost me USD 150. Like new despite its been 5 years old. Love that thing VERY MUCH. I dual boot with ZorinOS and WinLite 10.

I bought a second hand T480s from a company for 237 USD. It seems almost new apart from the typical scratches at the I/O ports. I nuked it and installed Linux on it. Just completed a Linux sysadmin course with it.

I can't see a better way to re-use a laptop than this.

The T440p is actually pretty fine just look for those which don't have a synaptics touchpad. Plus you can upgrade the CPU to a quad core i7 4700mq or better.
