My Acer Aspire 5 just fell apart, I've had this laptop for just a year. I didn't drop it, nothing happened.. I just opened it, it broke in half, the screen is detaching from the keyboard, pieces falling out, and wires coming out. It's going to snap off if I try to close it. Not sure how long the screen will work. The frame is half detached, with wires hanging. Something breaks or falls out every time I move the laptop . I have to keep it propped against a pillow so it doesn't break off backwards. Acer has awful customer service, and I just past the year mark, so they won't pick up now that the warranty is expired.

Pros
Doesn't look cheap, Broad Keyboard, lots of RAM, Screen is nice size

Cons
Volume is VERY low, Some keyboard symbols can't be accessed, The battery needs charging often.
The screen brightness symbol is reversed (not a big deal but annoying)
Fingerprint recognition fails often. Can't add more than one fingerprint.
Doesn't have keyboard backlights, Original charger broke easily
Hard to find same charger (found one poorly designed option on amazon) slides out of laptop easily
No Cap-Lock light [The Cap-Lock Symbol doesn't always show up on the screen] this messes with passwords

- Phone Customer service isn't great.
- First 6-8 months the screen would frequently flash or go black for a few seconds.
A tech guy came to fix it, but never did. He was acting angry, snapped at me, and my cat. He tried to enter my bedroom, and was too comfortable in my apartment. Eventually he said he forgot the hardrive he was going to replace mine with, gave me the option to give him the laptop, and wait a 1-2 months to have it mailed back. Told him I needed my laptop for work, he snapped at me... never fixed the issue.

As a computer scientist needing a laptop with a comfy, keyboard and that also enjoys gaming and watches movie often I can tell from personal experience that the acer swift 3 is the best laptop out there that has an excellent price. I have the AMD version but I know that the intel version is also really good. I have had laptops like lenovo ideapad, mabook pro 13 and hp and dell and to be honest the aces swift 3 has a great mix between lightweight, videogame capable, nice design, slim and great price. i totally recommend the acer sift 3 it is a bargain !!

I have the acer swift 3, not gonna lie, its performance is amazing. if you're looking for a lightweight laptop that's portable, its what you need, I'm in high school right now and my school requires me to bring a laptop to school and this laptop perfectly fits into my bag and it does not really hinder the weight of my bag, sometimes I even forget that I have a laptop in my bag because of how light it is. If you're also buying this for school or work, it can also be a side gaming laptop, I currently play valorant and it offers me great fps that varies from 100-170fps on average or even more at times. But there is a flaw of this laptop that I find really annoying, the temperature, this laptop heats up really easily, if that's a problem for you, this laptop might not be the perfect laptop for you. But you can always purchase a laptop cooler, because I find temperature really annoying, I purchased the klim cyclone laptop cooler, it does not really bring down the temperature but it helps cool down the laptop on the outside. Well, I definitely recommend this laptop wholeheartedly, if I was to rate this masterpiece, I would give it a 9/10.
