It would be nice if EV charging stations would emulate the layout of modern gas stations. I don't have to back into a stall at a gas station. If it's raining or sleeting or snowing I can fill up because there is a canopy over my head. It would seem natural for EV charging stations to have a canopy with solar cells on top. Finally, it would be nice if someone would make an international standard (left side or right side) for where the charging port is on all electrical vehicles.

Nice job. There are more layers of the cake: modular assembly, no paint, no stamping cybertruck, very capable autonomy, and more and more segments to be targeted, each one easier and quicjker to market. Their work is starting to pay off.

I would like to see Tesla build prefab level two destination chargers for hotels, etc. it would be nice to have a standard specification being installed across the country.

In Adelaide SA, Tesla superchargers are around .66 cents per KWh. Jolt is .46 after 7 kWh’s free. I get 340 klms per hour on the Jolt chargers that I use so 15 mins gives me enough for my daily use. Costs about $2 overall per day. The charger is nearby so I now hardly ever charge my Tesla from home.

Your are so bloody right, Sam. Tesla is the new Apple. But also the new Exxon, Uber and so on. And in 2030 my prediction is that the carproduction will count for max 30% of their revenue. Checkmate!

90% of drivers in Europe have no intention of buying a electric car' since going green with renewable energy our electricity prices have quadrupled.

Competition is the making of good business, a monopoly in any business is bad for a consumer.

Non-Tesla chargers are basically about 6-8 years behind the Tesla Supercharger network. Tesla have the whole game sewn up. I speak from experience trying to find a charger that works in the dark in the rain at 2am, having had to make a massive detour off the highway to drive round an empty industrial estate trying to find the one charger that works. And even then it was only 50kW, so that's nearly an hour to charge.

congrats, the audio level is finally high enough to be on par with the average yt content

The truth is you very rarely have to use superchargers, in three years I’ve used one once and I drive 180 miles every day 😊

Finally People will start to understand the power of tesla chargers and really selling so many Teslas they are also taking all the costs of installing all
This charges and I don’t think
Is that cheap either but they are really thinking long term getting the cost back later on . So smart 🎉 Don’t they put megapack under their superchargers yet ? One megapack can power 3600 houses 🏠

I have a VW ev, so does my brother and we switched to tesla because of the charging network.
My wife spend over 40min at - 13degrees in the winter trying to get a stupid charger to work, the infrastructure is garbadge aside from the Tesla superchargers

After paying $200 for a FOB for my Model Y, I certainly would still like to use it with my next vehicle.... obviously.... it will be a Tesla.

You just voiced the opinion I came to about two years ago. Tesla’s charger system and tightly integrated app have not been challenged in any significant way. The day to day activity of using and charging by merely parking and plugging-in, without a whiff of payment cards, making several plug-out, reset, plug-in attempts and all the faffing about necessary of an infrastructure born of bad-design.

Two and a bit years ago, my son bought a used basic spec Model3 Tesla. Less than two years ago I bought a SEAT Mii dinky-toy sized EV. Both of us have had ZERO problems with the cars. The Tesla car is the means of identification when plugged into a Tesla charger, it knows what car, where you are, who you are and how to communicate with you through the app. Plug in, wait… unplug when advised. That’s it! Your registered card is billed for the charge you bought. Very smooth and simple.
The SEAT, on the other hand is NEVER used as my ID although most chargers know what car is plugged in. I am forced to use a whole raft of disparate apps and a varied bunch of shonky chargers. Struggling to charge at odd places is normal.

One plus point is, the UK EV community is enormously helpful and rather like a friendly club of like-minded people, all struggling with a piecemeal scattered system.

CONCLUSION: Tesla have the best charging system and have convinced me it works best ‘when travelling’. If you only ever charge from home, the Tesla advantage is not so important.

You are 100% right, probably, but for different reasons. European governments and legacy car companies, and banks, are populated for their larger part with people who do not believe in climate change, see no reason at all why to combat it (it doesn't exist, they think, don't they?) and whose priorities are completely different from those of Tesla or China. The Tesla execs are technically savvy people. NONE of our politicians or board members is. That' makes for huge differences.

Tesla cars are expensive by Chinese standards.
They are NOT a low-cost manufacturer.
Like Apple, they are fairly high cost, high quality, and high production.
