Why run the plates if there's no traffic infraction just goes to show how predatory cops are out to get you

My question is……Why were the tags ran in the first place? ……….. Racial profiling. If that were a Caucasian family in a Dodge Charger, would that have happened? A mother, a father and two children held at gunpoint for a “high risk” stop. The kids were made to sit in the back of the patrol car, imagine how helpless you feel as a parent knowing that these individuals are traumatizing the kids and there’s not a damn thing you can do but keep your wits about you because if you loose it, they can justify locking you up or shooting you. Keep your apology, I’ll see you in court.

I doubt she was disciplined because the cops (Internal Affairs) usually investigate their own and find no wrongdoing.

Your not to run plates if there was no traffic violation. Now you have traumatized a family, legal counsel should be pursued.

If they considered it a stolen vehicle WHY use guns?? That is excessive. Lawsuit for sure.

1. No reason to have a traffic stop, except 'black in a nice car'. 2. Learn your state abbreviations - 4th grade (or so) educational accomplishment. 3. Drawing guns on a traffic stop might warrant a second look at the plate. 4. The parents are appropriately concerned their children are likely to be shot. Don't the cops hear the response from both handcuffed parents? Incompetent.

That policewoman didn't look apologetic, , , more like ambivalent....so here ya go again, , how to make friends and influence people..

It was "high risk" because they stopped a Black driver.

And, honestly, if you run a plate and the system tells you that car doesn't exist you have to be a moron not to check immediately to make sure you didn't make a mistake. Especially if you can see the car sitting in front of you. People might steal a plate that wasn't theirs, but it's a stretch to to imaginge they'd go to the work of counterfeiting plates to steal a car. And no one steals cards that aren't there. A typo makes more sense.

Your son is forever traumatized and will never be the same when approached by an officer or in the presence of and the father will probably suffer ❤conditions.
This hurts…to see a GROWN MAN crying out-of-fear of being pulled over for no reason w/his family in the car. Jesus! ⭕️

They want promotions so bad that they don't even double check before pulling you over.

Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone does not use a lethal weapon in the process. Cop should have to mow that guy's yard for a month
