To anyone that sees this comment the person in that video is my friend. She’s struggling and trying really hard to get her health better. She is genuinely one of the sweetest people I know. Please think before you speak about people. Please don’t make fun of her. She’s trying so hard and she’s sharing her difficult journey online.

That happened to my mom. It got infected and ate away at her ankles and heels. This was the height of the pandemic and she was afraid to tell us. She didn't want to go to the hospital and get covid. So she let the infection eat away at her legs until she couldn't walk. We had to force her into an ems when we found out. He health got worse and she died in July 16th 2020 of multiple health issues.

I think it's safe to say they aren't at risk of having they absolutely HAVE cellulitis.

My 18 yo daughter just had this. Opened skin to infection, caused by a bug bite, and it turned into cellulitis. Affected area will also be warm to the touch and very itchy. Old wives tale maybe, but my grandma swore on putting yogurt on the area. Something about the probiotics in yogurt will help with the itch and redness. And it did help, along with antibiotics of course.

I had a plus size aunt that had this issue with her legs. She was a sweet lady and a great poet. She is with her heavenly father now. And yes people think before you speak. You or one of your loved ones can end up like this. And you wouldn't want anyone saying anything negative about them. WOULD YOU?!

This person needs to see a doctor immediately, if it's mild enough, then a good dose schedule of antibiotics would do the trick, but if not, then she might need a surgical procedure..

I got this on my left foot eight years ago. My foot was red and swollen and my foot felt like it was throbing. I couldn't walk on it and it was the most painful pain that I had ever felt in my life.

Luckily, the doctor gave me an injection along with some antibiotics and by that afternoon the swelling started to go down and I started to feel good again. Once you get any kind of pain, don't stay home and mind it. Go to the doctor to get medication and relief.

I currently have cellulitis my hand from a cat bite to the knuckle. A little warning ⚠️
Augmentin and Bactrim cause PERSISTENT DIARRHEA.
Doc said re-visit ER IF fever or red streaks. That would mean septicemia (Blood Poisoning).
As a Vet Tech I've been bitten alot, never like this.

My friend had cellulitis from a small scab on his lower ankle. He had athlete's foot at the time and he thinks his socks made the scab catch something that triggered the cellulitis. He ignored it for a week and it almost killed him believe it or not. Take care of yourself ppl dont ignore red skin!

I’ve had cellulitis and if you do the right thing and go to the ER, it’s very treatable. Usually some IV antibiotics once a day for 5-7 days. Outpatient treatment for about an hour so you can go home when done. If not treated, the infection gets worse, quickly, and is definitely life threatening. Don’t be a hero. Go to the hospital if you have symptoms.

I had this in my right leg earlier this year in June. It makes you incredibly ill, I slept for 13 hours straight and woke up worse. Went to the Emergency room and had test after test done. Admitted to my local hospital and they started IV antibiotics and oral.
My foot changed colour around the sides and they thought it was flesh eating bacteria. I was put in an Ambulance and then Air lifted by plane to a major hospital.
My leg was cut open to check blood colour and the look of the flesh. Then went up to a constant care ward where I was given the drip and oral antibiotics. Blood tests everyday to make sure it showed signs of getting better, my results were off the charts extremely high they hadn't seen one so bad.
My leg had swollen to double its size and was so hot and red it blistered. I had huge blisters and then an Ulcer formed
I could hardly walk but I made sure I did and kept my body moving. Did use a wheelchair as well.
I stayed in the hospital for 7 days. Come home and had to take more antibiotics for another 3 weeks. My leg is permanently scarred on the shin from the Ulcer and biggest blister. They think mine started from Staph, like School Sores kids get but as an adult it's bad news and I have Lupus so mine got majorly infected.
It could also be the dirt or some dirty water I touched but pretty sure I hadn't. Don't mess around with this, Iam pretty pain resistant my pain threshold is really good but this made me cry like a big adult baby from the pain. It takes a few months to get totally over it. Iam just blessed I had excellent Doctors, Nurses, Care Flight Doctor and Pilot as well as Ambulance EMTs. They saved my life and my leg.

I had cellulitis in my left leg. It turned bright red, I got blisters, they would pop and leak. My doctor gave me water pills (in the begonning) and it just kept getting worse. I was getting sick (pain in my back, hips, shoulders, and a god-awful headache. I was nauseous beyond nauseous. Later, I had cancer, and the nausea was comparable. I finally went back to my doctor, who took one lol and put me in the hospital. They told me, had I waited any longer, I would've been dead. My organs were shutting down. Now I can't wear dresses because my leg is permanently scarred. So is my right as the cellulitis spread to my right leg too.

I’ve had cellulitis on and off for 10 yrs. It sucks. Now I’m at the point that they don’t know which antibiotics to put me on as I’ve developed allergies to many of them. I even had Steven Johnsons Syndrome 3 times.
