So often you see an engine make peak power only at redline. This boy here makes between 680 and 715 from 6 to 8 thousand. That makes a huge difference going down the track

Seeing the power numbers this engine made I honestly expected a super lightweight rotating assembly. But no, steel I beam rods! You’ve got a great little combo there. Goons hurt some bow tie feelings for sure. They are not gonna believe it’s only 347ci. That or they are going to be looking for the hidden nitrous bottle.

Good to see a good running Ford (anyone can make a Chevy run- just copy your neighbor). Notice that us "grey hairs" sometimes have to show you "young pups" how to do something. Most people think they know it all, but when you quit listening to other peoples ideas you quit learning. Us old guys have gained our knowledge by not only learning what works, but also what does not. As expensive as racing is, there is nothing wrong with using someone else's knowledge to save time and money. No one will ever say you are stupid because you saved time and money and still achieved the results you wanted! Lots of times, when you go the Ford or Mopar route you have to use technology (or invent it) that doesn't apply in ordinary motor building.

Aww yeah AFR renegades 💪 I like the ol Victor Jr heads too 👊 solid roller cams and vicjr heads was the 347 combo back in the day runin easy 10s. 713hp is amazing.

Nice build. I built a stock block 331 back in 2011 that made 686.9 @7400 was 506 on tq dont remember rpm. 13.5 comp on vp 112. 1 carb heavy street frox drove to track 5.98 at 115 with a 125 hit 1.28 60s. Afr 225s. Ive always wanted to build a 371 with a good intake like the ported parker i had on my mill. All my stuff was budget of the shelf stuff blocks just couldn't keep up.

Thats awsome, im building a 331 stroker in a 88 mustang very close to finishing and id be very happy with just 400hp

I would think that a 363ci combo would work even better due to the intake and exhaust valves being unshrouded better with a large bore size. None the less very impressive with a w style block. The clev will produce even better results with the same cubic inches, or actually 357 ci.
