hey everyone! thanks so much for watching :) this video was mainly intended to inform prospective students about the general application process for universities in canada (or more specifically, ontario). i know there were a lot of details that weren't covered but if anyone watching is a current university student or is an alumni that is able to talk more about their experience, feel free to comment your name, school, program/year & contact information under this pinned comment!

This is an amazing video. Thank you.
You've done a better job than every other person I've asked, article I've read, meeting I've attended on this topic

For AP/IB curriculum, I have something to share regarding McGill University. I was originally enrolled at McGill University for my first Bachelor's degree. I found McGill is really generous to provide credit transfer. I know some people who completed the full IB diploma had the full freshmen year credit transferred, implying they skipped the entire first year and started the second year right away! Well, it still depends on the number of credits in a particular program. If it's the general engineering program that has more credits, students still have some credits left for the first-year program, so they can still start taking second-year courses and take some mandatory first-year courses at the same time. I'm not too sure about AP. What I only know is some students from US took AP and transferred a decent amount of credits too, but not sure if they transferred most freshmen year credits.
For myself, I took A-Level which is the British high school/college program before undergrad. Since I also took Advanced Level which is equivalent to the first-year college, so McGill had my entire first-year credits transferred as well! I was enrolled in Commerce which only has 120 credits, so there's no credit left for U0. But my other high school friend who went to U of T was another story. She transferred for only one elective course and that's it... So my main point is that AP/IB is good to take if students want to have more credits transferred to reduce the course load.

Hi Allie! I was wondering if you could make a video about how you study for each of your classes like chemistry or math. I'm a first year student and just want insight on study methods that you find useful for different classes you are taking/have taken. Thank you

thank you so much for this video. i have a few wuesfions 🥺. so my high school experience has been rlly hard. in grade 9 and 10 i did amazing while battling depression and anxiety, but by grade 11 my depression became very severe, i was constantly late for school, i failed a course, and my marks were very inconsistence. for example, my first period class marks were 55, 60, then my second period was like 75 then the next class was like 64 and the last class 80. it was all over the place but honestly my marks were not it. grade 12 first semester my marks were also not the best. first period class i had 75 which isnt bsd, second period however i had a 53, third period a 63, and period 4 a 55. second semester of grade 12 Covid started (class 2020) and we were out of school, i could barely get any work done and my marks are like all 50’s. it is absolutely devastating bc my teachers say i am so so smart but me not being at school and not completing homework is why my marks are so low. so 😭😭. i decided to take a year off and start school 2021 so i can work on my mental health and get ready for university, i’m also re taking courses online rn from grade 12 so i can like upgrade bc ik now that i’m out of school and don’t i can do a lot better. but now idk what to do, i don’t have a guidance counsellor, so idk how to start applying, would i still be going through ouac? i’m so scared and lost

i’m planning to take a double major, a major in psychology and a major in political science.
