The Behringer Fuzz Bender

First impression. It looks cool, it's solid metal and feels sturdy. The normal mode, with a strat plugged straight into it sounds fantastic! Great fuzz and responds perfectly to the volume control. It cleans up exactly as I'd hope.
The modern mode is horrible. I can't explain how nasty it sounds. I heard the description "bad octave fuzz through a cocked wah". God knows what they were thinking?

But, you are going to be hard pressed to find a Tone Bender style fuzz as good and at this price.

You have to turn the attack back a bit when you switch to the Mod. It's built like a true vintage pedal. Give it a bit to warm up to you before you write it off so quickly. This is a great pedal to anyone looking for a vintage sound like the Yard Birds

Fuzz pedals like an amp that’s a bit dirty, perhaps the clean setting here is too stiff?

Mod setting will be great in a band. Bet it cuts great

I got one today and the Mod setting is weird, it’s like the transistors aren’t biased correctly, it has a wha type sound that sputters out, I’m sure this must be a manufacturing problem. Could be a simple fix of tweaking bias with a trim pot, hope Behringer come up with an answer, I don’t want to open it up quite yet.

Just had a first go with mine tonight and the mod mode is strange. I found if you roll the attack down to about 3 o clock and roll volume on your guitar down a touch it’s better. I do have a linear pot vol pot in the esquire though.

Got mine today.The Vintage setting sounds like a Fuzzface and cleans up well...the mod setting is terrible... definitely not a MK2. I've got the vibe coming next week and my expectations are not high but will give it a chance.

This is the only demo of this pedal that hasn't sounded great. Forget the mod section and use it in the original position.
