Behringer pedals are our saviors here in Brazil, "real" label pedals are INSANELY expensive, but then comes Behringer with a pricing of something like 1/4 of the original pedal cost.

This dude got it: If you are elegant and charming enough when talking about other people's products, then people will buy yours. Gibson could learn a thing or two here.

3:28 - Compressors: Behringer CL9 vs. Ibanez CP9, "the circuit is almost the same (...) CL9 has a better bass response (...) I'm torn here."
4:40 - Octavers: UO300 vs. BOSS OC-2, "a little bit of a modification on this old classic."
5:03 - Tremolos: UT300 vs. BOSS TR-2, "buy the BOSS (...) but if you're in a pinch (buy the Behringer.)"
5:26 - Digital Reverbs: DR600 vs. BOSS RV-5, "something is a little off (...) quite off, not bad. "
6:46 - Delays: VD400 vs. BOSS DM-3, "These aren't too expensive so if you have a little extra cash I recommend this (BOSS.)"
7:16 - Envelope Filters: FM600 vs. Line 6 AutoFilter, "They're a little off though because it's a digital circuit (...) They're pretty dead on after I tweaked them."

I couldn't be any more impressed with how genuine this guy is.

I need to buy a JHS pedal to honor his unselfish presentations of other manufacturers gear.

The only gear I've ever had problems with is JHS... the problem being that the owner is such a kind, likable person that even if I don't need one, I want to buy all of them. This is a company that everyone should support!

Just sold a JHS unicorn V2 to a customer today and one of the honest selling points I mentioned was how transparent and supportive Josh is in the music community. People appreciate genuineness. I mean, the second I plugged the unicorn in, the pedal spoke for itself and she was sold on it immediately, but still.

About 9 years ago, i bought a Heavy Metal Behringer pedal for less than 30$. I actually wanted a Boss pedal since my guitar teacher was using one but the price was way off my budget ( I was only 16 back then). My teacher said that the only difference between these two is you can basically stomp the shit out of Boss since the casing is made out of metal. 9 years and thousands of hours later, my Behringer pedal still works as good as the first day I bought it.

Funniest part, is that I own 4 Behringer pedals...and ALL of them sound “better” after watching this video.

You have to be the coolest guitar guy on YouTube. So much knowledge and you go out of your way to provide positive reviews on effects pedals built by other companies. Thank you.

I think this video might be the best free advertisement that Behringer has ever gotten. I kinda want to get a few of these now.

I have several Behringer pedals and other gear, like mixers and my UMC1820 interface. Most of the gear by Behringer is pretty good. Sure, my Mackie mixer has a great reputation but hissed like a snake when the treble was turned up. In comparison, Behringer's mixers are noiseless. That's why I upgraded to Behringer. Yes, folks, I consider this an upgrade. I am not a brand-snob! I've never had any of their equipment fail. In terms of copying circuits: everyone copies everyone. If people didn't copy and then improve, there'd be no progress - or is anyone saying that whoever invented the car is the only one allowed to make a 4-wheeled transport device?

Honestly, the price of Behringer pedals is what put me off trying them in the first place because I just assumed something SO much cheaper than its competitor had to be a dud. This was really informative, and you've got yourself a subscriber. Cheers!

I went almost 40 yrs without playing. I recently started again and I am stuck in late 70's still. My son left all his pedals here and I had no idea what most did. I needed a good old fuzz like the Little Muff I played before. I bought The SF300 and it is incredible. Now I am mixing loopers and HOF and having a blast. Party!!! Whoooo

Josh is a genuinely nice guy and a gearhead, like his subscribers. Not often you see a man who makes his living selling high end pedals recommending great bargain pedals. His love for pedals and music comes through in every video. He has earned my admiration and respect.

I've had a Behringer DD400 for like 10yrs now - never took it off my board and its still going. The chassis doesnt have so much as a crack and of course the sound still holds up
