Its even more harsh than that. Its about exclusivity. The value of a Bentley is the peasants *cannot* afford them, not new, not used, not EVER. So they made the cars to break down quickly because it ensures people who try to buy them used to "buy upwards" in the car snob tiers quickly go broke as a joke trying to keep running. Thing is if average working stiffs could afford a used Bentley, a new Bentley wouldn't have the same appeal to the snobby people who buy ultra-high end luxury cars. As as you clearly point out, they know full well their new customers will buy the newest car anyways.

And the final reality is that to a multi-millionare a $300, 000 Ferrari is actually more affordable than a Toyota Camry is to an average family. Its far less of that rich guy's income than it for you to afford your car.

I always assumed the German cars had quality + reliability built into them due to their expense. Everything Scotty says in this video makes complete sense. Glad I learned it without having to experience the pain, aggravation and expensive the hard way. Thank You.

I get nothing but frustration from people who like to pretend they are wealthy and buy these used things and then discover, OMG its breaking down like crazy and cost more to repair than what they make, I give them the call telling them its 1, 000 dollars just to fix the power steering, and I can hear the sound of desperation over the phone, then they say, can you get that part used??? hahhaha ooh really, you want to spend money on a used part with lots of miles on it just like the one you got now that broke down??? sure, I will take your money but the warranty will only be 30 days warranty on only the part and not the labor. as per my states law in Illinois, and then over time the car owner has a luxury junk yard car. and I see all the yellow paint writing all over all the used parts leaking oil and worn out just barley working. these people are sometimes real estate sales people, they like to have the nice looking car to place out front of a expensive house to make themselves look as if they are more than what they really are, you should also then know or understand your dealing with a real estate agent who will lie to you to make the sale, the house you may be looking at is also a junk yard type house, it only looks good on the out side but needs many expensive repairs on the inside,
