By all means, put more police on the streets, honestly I appreciate it for the safety of all innocent people. However, it's not up to the cops to deter this type of behavior. NYPD has been doing a great job keeping the city safe and arresting bad guys! BUT the state attorney and judges need to step it up! And stop letting criminals walk free. I’m fed up of hearing about bad guys committing heinous crimes, only to find out they’re a 30 time convicted felon.

Anyone who ever took a criminal justice course or study, should know that for over 60 years, statistics shows, that adding more police does not lower crime rate. In fact, it leads to prison overcrowding, which NYC learned in the late 80s.
