"He's too young, don't think he can do it"

Max: "I can, because I just did"

It’s crazy how long he’s already been in F1 and how long he has left. He could easily be the driver with the most races one day. And could have most championships if he wins half the ones he competes in going forward

Sometimes a rookie shows up in F1 and you just know they'll be a legend.
The way the FIA went from, "let's make sure this situation doesn't happen again" to "We need to market this guy" in the space of months was F1 at it's most savage

15:28 It was extremely telling that he didn't just say NO to the team order, he actually changed their mind by showing he was faster. After the race many people expected him to get reprimanded for ignoring the team order, but instead the team backed him up publicly stating Max made the right call by ignoring the team order. It proved how strong minded and confident in his own ability he already was and the team fully acknowledged him.

This is why I think people who dismiss him for winning just 1 championship in 8 years are just being ignorant. Every other driver spends 2-4 years in junior car racing before coming to F1. Even Hamilton had 5 years of open wheel car racing before his 2007 debut. By the time Verstappen was winning F1 races, other drivers are preparing to start F2.

He basically had his junior career in F1.

I started watching F1 regularly in 2014 and to see a guy my age do wonders at a stage full of world's best drivers was just insane to watch. Call him reckless all you want for his early seasons, but on most occasions he pulled off moves not many others on the grid would have dared to. Give him a car and he can surpass Michael and Lewis, got that faith in him.

It's crazy how many rules got changed because of him, how many f1 driver careers were put to an end, how many people started to hate him and got the biggest fan base F1 had for quite some time, just shows you how special he really is.

Max single handedly made f1 really interesting to watch again, hes definitely my hero on the grid right now.
Also think about the past couple seasons without max, love him or hate him but it would have been sooo much less interesting

Phenomenal talent - His pass in Belguim was the one that sealed it for me. Could have been World Champion years ago if it weren't for the all dominating Mercedes cars.

I still remember how I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Verstappen following Seb at Monaco and using blue flags to pass people. From then on I knew that guy was something special.

I’m kind of happy that many are starting to recognize how much of a talent Max Verstappen really is.

For me, the moment I knew Max was special was when he won the 2016 Spanish GP. He literally just hopped into that Red Bull and performed magically, he got his opportunity and took advantage that race. Then of course the rest is continuing history!🏁🇳🇱

People keep forgetting that he's basically the "youngest oldest driver" since he began at such a young age. Young, but with experience that none of the other younger drivers have yet.

I remember his debut, we were all sceptical in the beginning and thought the team had gone mad, but we're eating our words now.

Crazy how he didn't even need to get to F2 and he managed to handle so well in F1 coming from Karting and F3. Apart from that he paved the way for under 20 drivers entering F1.

He’s already made history, and without a doubt will continue to do so 🔥

Like him or not, nobody can deny that he is an absolute racing phenom, a legend in the making. I'm glad to see he has grown and matured so quickly, and you easily forget he was still a kid just a few years ago. There are so many young drivers now that are doing amazing things in these cars, and I like that the teams are seeing the wisdom in getting these guys while they still have plenty of prime years left in them. From the perspective of a middle-aged man, if you're good, your age simply does not factor in. It's making the sport so much more interesting, and I hope guys like Verstappen, Norris, and Leclerc are around for a very long time.

He is the most driven on the grid currently. He eats, sleeps and breathes racing. He shows up in uniform every time, no fashion statements, all about the racing.

Hearing how max responded to team orders in Singapore was absolutely savage
