These are made from a company who are and have been known for making custom molded in ear monitors for professionals playing music, recording music, and for live music audio engineers. The reason why that is relevant is because professionals who make and/or play music need the sound to be flat for complete transparency in all the frequency ranges (which is what this and other in ear monitor companies are about).

Since these are obviously marketed more towards the casual listener, having a pleasing EQ straight out of the box would make sense, but I think having the ability to make your own EQ is great. Most people mess with EQ in their cars or tv so why not have the ability to make it your own? And the great part is people who are professionals (or just really care about audio), get the chance to make EQ decisions that we WISH we could make on a tv or our cars, on a pair of earbuds that are noise isolating because of the snug fit, and aren't attached to a dangling cable plugged into your device.

I will buy a pair because of the fit. I have a hard time finding a perfect fit for any earbuds I buy.

That custom-fit feature is amazing. Very useful for runners and exercisers.

You have to use the app to adjust the sound to your liking. The sound is actually really good.

Sound on the whole is mediocre. Mics aren't great either. Fit means nothing if the sound isn't there.

Just want to put this out there for anyone thinking of getting these watching reviews that say they’re good

They’re not

They’re complete garbage. You’re lucky to get them to recharge in the case, sound quality is on par with $20 wireless buds, the one feature it has as a (expensive) selling point doesn’t do anything. The custom fit is a gimmick.

There are loads better options, including companies that specialize in audiophile level quality for cheaper
