Weve hit a plateau for consumer demand in a lot of tech products. These last 3-4 years people upgraded everything as it was fast innovation and now the differences are far less interesting for the general public

Hadn't heard this. I'm bummed but not shocked. As you said, Jabra made great earbuds for those in the know, but I felt like they were always in a weird spot where their price and quality was on par with Sony, Bose, etc, but their notoriety and market share was a lot lower. But they helped drive the TWE market forward and I'm sad they're leaving the market.

I’m actually very sad to learn this because I have been using Jabra earbuds for several years. My current ones are starting to glitch and I was actually looking to upgrade. What is a good equivalent? That would have been helpful to know. Dammit!

never had any Jabra's but I always heard great things about them.

I think some of the lower priced earbuds even have "everything under the sun" feature wise and while some brands are better than others ... the market is flooded. I am not sure if this news may have Jabra Elites (whatever models) more expensive or less expensive (say on ebay or just great conditioned "like new" pairs)

Some of my favorite lower priced brands but ones that have great quality in my view are Tribit, Earfun, and TOZO just off the top of my head.

Main reason i loved Jabra Earbuds, was because of their impressive microphone (4 microphones) etc. I never had to repeat myself during a call like I have to do with the Airpods.

I had the 75s lost them and was left with simple airbuds, I knew my jabras were somewhere but I couldn’t stand being without them so on day 3 I re-bought just a different color. Found them two days later and I kept both pairs just as backup because I wanted to make sure I always had jabras handy. To this day I’ve had 5 pairs, loved them all. I do bose and Master & Dynamic for over ear but in ear, just my jabras. Tried soundpeats, bose, soundcore, audiotechnica, technics, apple (of course) and nothing made me switch from my jabras. I’m trying Nothing now, hopefully it works out because I don’t know what i’ll do once my Jabras give in.

I think that what this announcement shows is not just a trend but a statement that the gap between cheaper earbuds (say sub-$100) and higher end earbuds (say over $250) is getting smaller and insignificant to consumers. I have used the Pixel Buds Pro and the LinkBuds S and in terms of features and sound quality they do not outrank cheaper earbuds like the Soundcore 4 NC. In fact I feel that the 4 NC has better ANC, transparency, and sound.

This is why I have stopped looking at TWS over $120, it doesn't seem you get more for your money compared to cheaper sets; Soundcore and Earfun being great examples. It is also why, in terms of sound, I am always excited to Moondrop release a new pair of earbuds. Sure, the app is not great but even with stock tuning they sound better than other earbuds I have used or tried. I am getting off topic but my point is that the differences between cheap earbuds and higher end earbuds is getting smaller making diminishing-returns hit a lot harder.

I absolutely love Jabra earbuds and have 4 pairs. I love the sound and call quality, but I especially love the fit because I have smaller ears and these fit well without much fatigue for me. They were a little pricy, but I'm sad to see them go honestly.

I just purchase the Jabra Elite 5 earbuds that have all the features and performance I wanted at a very reasonable price. Sad to see them leaving this market.
