If both batters end up at strikers end and stumps were broken at the non strikers end. The one who came crossed the crease last will be declared OUT.

If the both batters end up at the centre of the pitch. And stumps were broken at the strikers end. Then Striker is out as he is closer to the end where stumps were broken.

If the batsman have crossed each other, then non striker will be out.

Earlier there was a rule that during a run out situation, if the batsman bat was in the air, he would be declared OUT. Now, the law has witnessed a significant change. A batsman who has grounded his bat behind the crease before the bails are broken, cannot be given out even if the bat is later raised.

Major doubt after new bat in the air, run out rule. Scenario: I'm at the non-striker end and the batsman hits the ball straight down the wicket, ball touches the bowler's hand and deflects on to the wicket. In the mean time myself who had taken a start while bowler delivered the ball, ran back towards the bowlers end and grounded my bat before the ball came near the stumps, now i was unsure if the ball is going to hit the stumps or move next to it, so i lifted my bat in the air(which was grounded) hoping to take the run and the ball happened to hit the stumps. ( Body was facing the bowlers end itself and i had not turned towards the batsmans end), so is this out or not out? @SreeHarshaCricket

What if the batsman runs at the non strikers end, and the non striker didn't leave the crease, and the ball hit at the non strikers stump, who will be out.

I have a question

Ex : india need 6 runs in two balls two wickets in hand

Non strike end virat kohli

Strike end bumrah

He missed the ball to keeper
But he not running and waits kohli to reach his end .

Keeper come up to bumrahs end wicket end and wait he to leave the grease but he waits till kohli come to his end to safe and he running to other end.

Keeper throw it and other end wicket bumrah gets runout.

But he done they need in final ball face by kohli.

Can it happen...

Can wait till his grease to kohli safely come to his grease...
If keeper throw it when kohli comes to other grease bumrah will start to run to sacrifice his wicket ..

I think you got my opinion

while running a single run in cricket, if the non striker does not leave the crease and the striker reaches the other end and a fielder hits the non striker stumps, is anyone out?
