Multivariable Calculus 32 Tangent Planes to Parametric Surfaces

If we put a basketball on the floor, the floor should touch the sphere at exactly one point (in a perfectly abstract mathematical universe). We generalize this concept to define the tangent plane at a point on a smooth parametric surface. Spoiler: the cross product and partial derivatives appear!
