Osaka's NEWEST Mall is Insane!! (with a hotspring!)

Osaka's newest mall "Grand Green Osaka" just opened in March! Locals were excited about this mall as it's located in the new Umekita Park area and houses a hostpring/spa facility with one of the coolest looking foodcourts. Join me as I explore this new mall!

I'm heading to Osaka next month for the Expo, so I'll definitely be going here too. The Time Out markets are aimed at tourists mainly and the prices reflect that. I've been to the ones in Barcelona and Lisbon (which was the first one) but the Osaka one looks better than those. Good to have had a sneak preview before I get there!

The prices are rough but that's to be expected.

With the Osaka World Fair going on for 6 months, tourists will flock to Time Out Market for convenience.But yeah, 650 yen for 6 takoyaki is way too much.If Time Out Market was really targetting foreigners, menus should be in English, not Japanese.Luckily, I read Hiragana/Katagana, but it would be annoying to have to use Google translate for everything or ask for a separate English menu.They should just integrate an ipad at random parts of the food hall, order your food, pay w CC, done.Then food court booth calls your number.

Thanks for the tour, but we probably give it a miss until it settles. We do like Osaka having me tup with a friend and found this amazing little place just opened in the Shinsaibashi area. Kushiyaki torigyu Nishiki a master of skewers, fried chicken and ice cold beer. Our 1st trip to Japan and hopefully not the last.

If you like Yalitori you really should try this place. I went with my Japanese colleauge and he mentioned this reminds him of home.
If you go you may see my dog and myself sitting at the window seat. Its called Zenryoku Izakaya.

Onsen in a mall. New concept in Japan. The thing is, the onsen occupies 2 levels, it seems. The prices are also affordable to foreigners too. One thing I love about Japanese malls. Food is everywhere, even in departmental stores. Unfortunately, if Grand Green truly caters more to foreigners, They should have all their menus in English. When Ghib went to Time Out, that wasn't the case. Although signages are in English, the menus weren't.

Glad you also noted how pricey it is. I've been four times already and only ate there twice. The prices are definitely a turn-off.

It's like someone dropped a food court in a club and raised the prices (because of rent?).
