Grievous vs Kit Fisto [4K HDR] - Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Kit Fisto faces down General Grievous at his own lair on Vassek, as shown here in a 4K HDR sample from this season 1 Clone Wars edit, "The Gunray Chase Film Cut"

A full 4K HDR (and 1080p) upscale of the entire series, also taking all but 9 episodes and re-cutting them seamlessly into feature films for every single arc. Have a favorite arc? Order 66? The Rako Hardeen Deception Arc? Mortis? The Nightsisters? Yoda's Journey? Maul's Revenge? This project converts the entire TV show into the definitive theatrical experience, perfect for your nice 4K HDR theater setup.

I have also reordered the episodes to fit a (mostly) chronological order based on the entire series official order list. This fixes many, many continuity problems for those who get confused when they watch it in viewing order. There are some minor alterations to the official episode order to make these arcs work as films, but any changes to the official chronological order are small (Putting Maul's Season 4 and 5 arcs into a single epic 3 hour cut, moving the lone episode "A Friend in Need" up a bit in the timeline to fit with the Heroes on Both Sides arc. Making Cad Bane's seasons 1-3 arc into a single supercut). The rest of the alterations follow the official continuity order (2 season 1 and 2 episodes are now part of the extended Clone Wars Theatrical Film Cut due to them being part of the Battle of Christophsis, ect. ect.) and greatly enhance the show's viewing experience.

Use the following Google Doc to see the cuts for yourself, then follow the instructions there.

Kit Fisto is one of the few that embodies the Jedi's way. He didn't even seek vengeance right after Grivous killed that Jedi.

2:23 Grievous looking legit surprised. "Holy shit, that actually worked?"

This is the only time in the entire series where Grievous killed a Jedi.

I love how Grevious shows a lot of loyalty to Count Dooku. Especially on how honest he was when he said Kit Fisto escaped.

That's this Jedi that survived like 10 seconds against Emperor Palpatine in Episode III. Good we could see in this episode how good he really was as a lightsaber wielder and why he was considered one of the best lightsaber users in the galaxy.

Didn’t seek revenge, and was actually ready to just go - but also had zero fear and didn’t duck the smoke when Grievous brought it straight to him. A true Master indeed

I love how this show was able to flesh out characters like Kit Fisto and Plo Koon. These guys are some of my favorites now when they were just background fodder.

It should be noted that Kit Fisto was a terrifyingly proficient user of the Form 1 lightsaber combat style called Shii-Cho. The style is very straight edged and basic with attack and defense being highly formulaic and coming strictly at 90 and 45 degree angles, but it is amazing at multiple opponents which is why once Kit started using Jar'Kai (dual wielding) with that First Form he could fend off all 4 of Grievous' lightsabers at once and would have beaten him if not for the MagnaGuards

I like what he does at 1:16 . Not only is it a way to make others fear his power, and overwhelm his opponents, but it also allows all of his angles to be defended.

Kit Fisto is sick, wish we saw more of him.

Fisto uses Shi Cho. It is the most basic lightsaber form, the first one taught to every padawan. Fisto beat Grievous with the free to play build and that dual wielding he showed off was the coldest combo at this point in Clone Wars imo.

This is the closest I’m ever going to get to be as cool as I was in 2003 isn’t it

I'll never get over how good the sequence is at 1:42

I like how Fisto was able to almost beat Grievous if it wasn't for MagnaGuards, it just shows howq powerful he is.

Really goes to show how powerful Palpatine was to kill Fisto in a matter of seconds. Also shows how Mace Windu is on a much higher level than Fisto as well.

Growing up kit was my favorite Jedi in the prequels so seeing him get some extra screen time like this was heart warming for me lol

Dooku seemed genuinely happy and proud of Grievous when he thought Grievous had killed Fisto. Wasn’t even the usual “you have done well.” Almost like when a son makes his dad proud.

This scene really shows just how powerful palpatine and mace windu were
