This is why as someone who has bought on ebay for years i tend to buy from real pictures taken and not a white background

Firstly this is the most calm video I've ever seen from this channel and secondly eBay thankfully is really good about refunds hopefully they take the sellers online store down.

Good on you for calling them out for their scam! Hope more people take notice and eBay bans the shit out of 'em.

The two main problems are that EBay cant inspect every product listed and 2- We have been flooded with Chinese clones from pc manufacturers assembly lines after hours that use the same covers but shoddy connectors etc etc

They gotta take down sellers like that. It’s destroying the marketplace.

I love this guy. I love his effort to always add "the greatest technician to ever live" into every video

eBay really gotta up their game. You can put up an Xbox Series S on it as non-refundable, then ship out a box full of rocks that weights the same as the Series S.

In the US, "warranty void if removed" stickers have no bearing

I've found when it comes to eBay, the ones that are open about not being official are usually your best bet. Genuine batteries may be used batteries that had low remaining capacity ran through a machine that temporarily restores their capacity (which it will lose in less than a month) and the programming reset. The ones pretending to be genuine are like this. The ones that are openly not genuine tend to actually be new batteries, although some proprietary parts like connectors may be reused. New from the OEM is preferred, but Dell didn't want to sell me a new battery so it is what it is.

So many scammers on eBay, and they don’t even give a shit which really hurts their poor reputation even more

Just add the fake battery cells to the official bms board.

The fact the fakes cost more than the real one is kinda funny

That would explain why the battery life of the battery I put in my 2010 macbook lasted aslong as the battery that was already in it...

I resell alot of these but sometimes we just lose a lot of money. I bought a pallet of batteries from an auction and they were all from China. Some of them were 100% legit while others had what looked like bits of sand and birdshot mixed in with real cells. Every other cell was fake and had this sand mixture in it to provide weight. The batteries were half of the capacity that was advertised. We take them to a recycling center that extracts the good bits from them. They said that they spent over 4 days removing the sand from their machines because they are not designed to have sand ran through them in the first place. From now on, we are just going to throw them in the trash even though that is unadvised. There is not enough metal in the fake ones to even be worth the time to recover them. I always check them no matter if they have the logo stamped on them or not. Some of the ones filled with sand were made to look like OEM batteries and even had "Asus" and "HP" stamped on them just like their real counterparts.
