NEVER Buy Batteries Again, with a catch :)
The problem with rechargeable batteries is the battery charging technology. If you buy rechargeable batteries, you will not get the 500 battery charge cycles to 1000 battery charge cycles that rechargeable battery manufacturers claim unless you use a very high quality battery charger/battery rejuvenator. If you buy quality rechargeable batteries (nicad rechargeable batteries) that claim to be able to be recharged 1000 times, you will get that 1000 battery recharge cycles if you are using the Bedini Renaissance battery charger and battery rejuvenator. So even if you had to recharge the rechargeable batteries every 2 weeks, at 1000 battery recharge cycles that would mean that the batteries would last 38 years !. So virtually by having the Bedini Renaissance battery charger and battery rejuvenator the purchase of rechargeable batteries is virtually a one time purchase.

Syy, Ni-Cad recharges with a pulse while Nickle has a continuous flow. These batteries are Nickel. I use C size I have several driveway alarms surrounding my house -make sure that you get different channels so you know what alarm tripped- I also use the D size for Maglites. You may have me talked into Bedini.

Side issue:
I keep some incandescent flashlights around just because they will not be destroyed by a solar flare. The lights I use daily are LED, but I recognize they would be lost. Also wonder light batteries like the 18650 size have an electronic circuit to keep them from overheating so a flare would kill them too.

Cant seem to locate the company who sells these chargers... Do you have contact info for them? Is it the company called Energex ? thanks for your time.
