The sci-fi/horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. The film stars Cailee Spaeny (“Priscilla”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”), Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (“Evil Dead,” “Don’t Breathe”) directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (“Don’t Breathe 2”) based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett. “Alien: Romulus” is produced by Ridley Scott (“Napoleon”), who directed the original “Alien” and produced and directed the series’ entries “Prometheus” and “Alien: Covenant,” Michael Pruss (“Boston Strangler”), and Walter Hill (“Alien”), with Fede Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (“Charlie’s Angels”), Brent O’Connor (“Bullet Train”), and Tom Moran (“Unstoppable”) serving as executive producers.

Homestly, the visual and CGI look increeeedible. I just hope the story is as good as the first film and it gives you a sense of deep, foreboding dread and fear.

I’m still excited to see this but I wish they would have continued the story with David after Alien convenient. Especially considering the face huggers and the Alien didn’t exist until Alien Covenant

God this has so much potential. Im going in with hope. Practical effects, captures that original feel and look. Yet looks like it really ups the ante and danger.

Looks absolutely terrifying.
Great stuff. I love taking friends who don't know exactly what they're getting into. This 1 looks like it has that IT Factor in spades. Love ALIEN. Love Alien/Predator. Love Ridley Scott. They've had jump scare sci-fi horror thriller on lock since Sigourney Weaver first appeared on screen so many years ago. CLASSIC!

The upcoming film will be the seventh in the franchise. It was directed by Fede Alvarez, primarily known for “The Evil Dead: The Black Book” and the thriller “Don’t Breathe.” Franchise creator Ridley Scott served as one of the producers.
